Not Under My Roof is a five-episode series on Candy Shorts, the short-form video section of CandyAI. It opens on a humiliation: the groom-to-be has his bachelor party cancelled by his future mother-in-law, in front of the whole family, with a finality that leaves no room for argument. An hour later the house has gone quiet, her daughter is asleep upstairs, and the same woman who shut the evening down offers him a private “gift” in its place. Then her two friends let themselves in through the back door. The series lives in the gap between the public ruling and the private reversal, and gets a good deal of mileage out of a matriarch with other plans for the night.

How to Watch Not Under My Roof: Free and Premium Episodes

Two episodes are free to anyone holding a CandyAI account, and they carry the setup: the family scene, the cancelled party, the sudden change of tone once the house empties out. Premium members get episodes three to five, where the two friends widen the evening beyond a one-on-one and the premise is followed through to the end. It is a sensible place to draw the line. The free half establishes the mother-in-law and makes clear what kind of evening this is going to be; the paid half delivers the part the title is winking at.

Running time per episode sits around the two-minute mark, so this is scene-length storytelling rather than anything like a full chapter. The structure benefits from it. Each instalment lands on one beat, whether the confrontation in front of the relatives or the knock at the back door, and cuts before it loses tension. Watch all five in order and the night unfolds as a single escalating sequence; pick one at random and the setting makes the situation obvious within seconds.

The Cast of Not Under My Roof

Antonella Larrea, one of CandyAI’s own characters, anchors the series as the mother-in-law, and the role asks a lot of her: convincing as the family’s authority figure in the first act, equally convincing dismantling that authority an hour later. Around her sit the groom, who spends the evening being told what is and is not allowed under this roof, the daughter asleep upstairs whose presence sets the stakes, and the two friends who come in through the back door. The same faces carry through all five episodes, so the shift from strict host to instigator reads as a reveal about one woman rather than a change of personnel.

How Not Under My Roof Is Made

Nothing here was shot with a camera. Like the rest of Candy Shorts, the series is AI-generated end to end by CandyAI’s pipeline, and the recurring characters are kept consistent from episode to episode so that the mother-in-law who cancels the party is unmistakably the woman who later offers her alternative. That continuity is what makes five parts cohere as a story. Visually the series has the smooth, stylised finish that defines the format, sitting closer to high-end animation than to filmed footage, and the editing rhythm is built for short, phone-sized viewing. Viewers who know AI video only from one-off clips will find a serialised run with a stable cast a different experience.

Where to Stream Not Under My Roof

A free CandyAI account is all that is needed to start. The first two episodes open immediately, and the CandyAI apps for iOS and Android make the series easy to watch on a phone, where two-minute episodes feel most at home. Premium membership unlocks the final three parts alongside the rest of the gated catalogue.

As with all Candy Shorts titles, this is adult content for viewers aged eighteen and over only. Within those limits, Not Under My Roof is a neat inversion of a familiar family dynamic: one house, one long night, and a mother-in-law whose rules turn out to apply to everyone but herself.
